With the supervision of their experienced faculty Mentor, each Intern will develop an individualized Employment Portfolio. The portfolio will aid in future applications for faculty positions within the California Community College system. Portfolio development will be provided through workshops and mentor consultation throughout the year-long internship program. The portfolio will include relevant materials related to the application process including:
- A cover letter
- Final resume
- Teaching philosophy
- Diversity Statement
- Sample Syllabus
- Teaching demonstration (lesson plan, activity, assignment)
